Parish Choir:

A large group of talented people got together in February 2007 to sing and play the liturgy for the funeral Mass of Fr. Billy Behan, our Parish Priest of ---- years. This occasion inspired the idea of establishing a Parish Choir which would sing in both Oristown and Kilberry churches and provide music for Easter and Christmas liturgies along with occasions such as Fr. Behan’s anniversary Mass, November remembrance Mass and a number of Aifreann Gaeilge throughout the year. The choir sang a mass for broadcast on LMFM in February 2011.
For the Autumn term, the choir will be concentrating on learning the music corresponding with the revised  Mass responses with a view to encouraging more congregational singing.
Practices are on a fortnightly basis, alternating between both churches, Tuesday night in Oristown and Wednesdays in Kilberry. Choir members are contacted by text .
New members are always very welcome.

Kilberry Children’s Choir:

The children’s choir was established in the mid nineties and has operated consistently since. The emphasis is on engaging the children in liturgical music, which is child friendly yet relevant to the general congregation. A short weekly practice prepares the Mass for the following Sunday and there is always something new to be learned.
This choir sing at the 11.30am Mass every Sunday in Kilberry church. They meet every Wednesday in Kilberry church from 7.30 to 8pm. Children from First class and up are very welcome to join.
